Deep in the woods, the Hulk puts Julie down, sits down, and transforms back into David, right in front of Julie. Once he calms her down, David explains that the creature won’ hurt her and, since Margaret probably has people looking for them, he has to get them out of there. David carries Julie to Michael’s place.Julie immediately recognizes Michael as the man who saved her from the fire. Michael keeps insisting that he “didn’t see nuthin’.” The only help Michael is willing to offer is to tell them that there’s a ranger’s station about seven miles away and David carries Julie off after telling Michael, “That Medal Of Valor you wear around your neck – it was given for someone’s commitment to bravery.”
Back in town, Jack McGee shows up at the sheriff’s office to ask for the chance to go with the sheriff to follow up on any calls from people who spot the creature. The sheriff agrees and tells McGee to grab some coffee and have a seat.
David is exhausted from carrying Julie and, when he stops to rest he tries again to tell Julie there’s nothing wrong with her legs. While she’s arguing about this, Michael shows up with more clothes for David.[1] Michael agrees to lead David and Julie out of the swamp.On the way, Michael learns that the creature he saw is David. Michael leads them to a stream they can cross to break their scent because the people coming after them have dogs.
Bear (singing): "I believe I can fly. I believe I can touch the sky."
In the stream, they encounter a bear who attacks David when Julie screams. David goes underwater with the bear on top of him, then the Hulk comes out of the water and throws the bear a few hundred yards. The bear heads for the hills, The Hulk picks up Julie and follows Michael toward the ranger’s station. Michael gets bitten by a rattlesnake and the Hulk throws the snake into orbit. Julie uses Michael’s medal to make a tourniquet while Michael tells her about his son, who earned the medal in Vietnam and David turns human again. Since Michael can’t walk now, and David can’t carry them both, Michael has them help him into the water where he remains, breathing through a bamboo shoot to avoid the dogs, while David and Julie continue trying to get to the Ranger’s station.
Margaret is in contact with her thugs by radio and has one in a helicopter waiting for them to leave the swamp.
"This mud is ruining my makeup! At least my shirt tatters are glued on!"
Almost within sight of the Ranger’s station, David and Julie fall into some quicksand. Julie is able to crawl out of it, but David is mired too deep. He tries to get her to reach a branch and hand it to him, but she can’t. Stressed, David turns big and green again. Realizing that the Hulk’s temper tantrum is only going to make things worse, Julie is finally able to stand and get to the tree branch for David. The hunters show up and start shooting but the Hulk grabs Julie and jumps over the quicksand. The two hunters, however, blunder right into it. This leaves the guy in the helicopter to hunt them down. The Hulk picks up a tree stump and throws it at the copter, destroying the tail rotor. The copter goes down in the water.
The sheriff gets a call from the Ranger’s station, who heard the shots, and the sheriff and McGee are off to the swamp. Julie gets the bottle of poison from the Hulk’s pocket and spends a few minutes convincing the Hulk that he has to stay in the swamp while she goes to the Ranger’s station herself.
In the next scene, it’s late at night and David is at the hospital in the Radiology department while Julie and Michael stand guard.[2]. David gives himself the x-ray dosage, but he’s not certain it worked, so he bids farewell to Julie and Michael. Just after he leaves, McGee shows up wanting an interview. Julie tells him the creature went down in some quicksand and is gone. Julie watches out the hospital window as David gets on a bus.

Trivia
We actually couldn’t find any trivia for this episode, so here are some mistakes instead
- When the hulk is fighting the bear, some of the green makeup comes off on the bear in a few shots.
- Obvious stunt double for Denny as the Hulk throws him in the log cabin.
- When the Hulk is bending over to pull the stump out of the ground, a portion of his lower back not covered with the green makeup is exposed.
- When the Hulk throws the bear, it’s clearly either a mannequin or a guy in a bear suit because the bear’s anatomy is very human-like.
